Leadership TCC

Building a Leadership Network Across Campus

In mid September, Tallahassee Community College will begin its fourth year of Leadership TCC, a leadership development series for faculty and staff of the College. As TCC continues its transition to a learning college community, Leadership TCC will contribute to the development of a leadership network across campus with current class members and Leadership TCC alumni, promote a campus culture dedicated to student success, and empower individuals to take on leadership roles in the life of the College.

The year long Leadership TCC program promises to engage participants with presentations by community college scholars from around the country, team building exercises, professional development symposia, and discussions led by the College's leadership related to the enhancement of student learning and success in the learning college. Participants will also meet with community officials and visit various sites in the Greater Tallahassee community impacted by the educational opportunities provided by the College.

Each year, 15 members of the College's faculty and staff (5 faculty, 5 administrative and professional staff, and 5 classified staff) will be selected to participate in Leadership TCC. All College faculty, administrative and professional, and classified employees are encouraged to apply for Leadership TCC.

Class III members complete "True Colors" profiles during the first program day.

The College can take pride in the continued contributions of our faculty and staff that impact the lives of so many in the Greater Tallahassee community. Looking to the future, TCC will continue to expand its reach in the community, and serve greater numbers of students than ever before. As we celebrate our 42nd year of serving students and meeting our community's needs, there has never been a more exciting time in the life of our College than right now. Please consider applying for this special opportunity specifically designed for you - the lifeline of our College.

Due to the limited number of spaces available and the competitive nature of Leadership TCC's selection process, the College instituted Opportunity TCC, a day-long consolidated version of Leadership TCC. Opportunity TCC offers those not selected for Leadership TCC the chance to learn more about the College, the programs and services it provides, and its partners in the community.

Should you have any questions, please contact Scott Balog, Assistant to the President and Leadership TCC Coordinator at (850) 201-6087.
